Most Disliked
Some patrons note that service can be slower during peak times, particularly on bustling Sunday mornings when the cafe hits full capacity. While many agree that the food is worth the wait, a few visitors express frustration with the delay. Additionally, some diners mention that the café can become crowded, diminishing the peaceful vibe it's known for during quieter times.
There are occasional concerns about menu items being temporarily unavailable, particularly during busy service periods. Additionally, a small number of diners mention they hoped for more gluten-free and vegetarian options. However, any concerns are often outweighed by the overall delightful dining experience, showing just a couple of minor hiccups in an otherwise beloved cafe.

We're from out of town and it was our first time eating here. Hometown dive brunch restaurant, we loved it. Everyone was very Friendly and we had good service. I got the farmers scrambler, very good! Fresh veggies and hashbrowns were good, not greasy like some places. We would definitely go back!

This was our first time visiting and we can't wait to come back! Not only was the staff amazing, but the patrons were also very kind. I could tell there were lots of regulars that visit and I certainly see why it's their favorite place. Food was phenomenal! Hometown diner without the extra grease that you would expect. The local syrup was an awesome touch and super delicious. The French toast was some of the best I've had around the area. Even our young kids appreciated the atmosphere and devoured their food. Bonus: clean, fresh bathrooms!

the food was tasty-riffic and Minnesota “plentiful” (PLUS pancakes are enormous) BUT the SMILES from customers Jim, Dave & Joe (Grumpy ole’ guy team) and super-riffic servers “Tiffany” & “Kerry” made me leave with “More Smiles Than I Came In With!” 😃✌️ p.s. lots of historical pictures too “Run-A-Way Bill” was here!

It is true waiting time is very long but food was excellent. We had corned beef hash, huge pancakes, french toast and country fried steak shared between 2 adults and two kids. If you’re in hurry, you might consider another local place but if you are on vacation, get coffee or lemonade as you’ll have refill while waiting for your order.
